LearnSpanish.gob.es is a digital platform promoted by the autonomous government of Castilla y León to give support to Castilla y León’s Spanish schools and provide them with a better competitiveness in the Internet. Thus, this platform improves and gives visibility to the associated Spanish Schools and spreads their Spanish for foreigners’ language courses.

Our regional government has commissioned the revitalization of this digital platform to the Fundación Instituto Castellano y Leonés de la Lengua. This nonprofit foundation supports the needs of Spanish teachers and students in the process of teaching and learning Spanish as a foreign language.

The Instituto Castellano y Leonés de la Lengua was created in 2002 with the purpose of promoting the use and study of Spanish language and supporting the training of Spanish teachers.

Although the Instituto de la Lengua develops its cultural activity throughout Castilla y León, the headquarter of this foundation is located in the Palacio de la Isla of Burgos, an emblematic nineteenth century palace considered a property of cultural significance.
