Spanish Multimedia Resources
MiCastellano.com isn't just about all the first class opportunities for learning Spanish in Castile and Leon. We've also tried to come up with as many different resources that are likely to be of real use to a language student and complement all the hard work you're putting in in the classroom.

Making Learning Spanish Convenient and Fun
To help you get started, we put together a beginner's guide to some essential Spanish words and phrases, touched upon Spanish grammar and briefly discussed the Spanish alphabet. There's also some useful bits and pieces elsewhere on the site on colors and numbers in Spanish, a few recommended Spanish language games and some suggested online resources (both free and paid), in order to try to make learning Spanish as convenient and fun as possible.

Equipping Yourself with the Right Tools to Learn
This section of the site, however, looks at the various different Spanish multimedia resources that are available to the student. Because when you get down to it, to learn Spanish effectively you need to approach it with the widest possible variety of techniques - some of which are going to work better for you than others. We don't just learn a language with our eyes, after all - the role that the aural has to play cannot be overstated. It's the primary way in which we learnt to speak our native tongue, and reminding the brain of that process is almost invariably a powerful weapon in the language learning armoury.

Multimedia Resources - from MP3s to Tapes
With this in mind we've picked out a couple of worthwhile multimedia resources, so that you can take the lessons you've learnt in your classes and really build on them - anywhere you choose. In our roundup of some of the leading Spanish CD-Roms out there, we weigh up the cases of high profile offerings like Rosetta Stone and Linguaphone (amongst others).

A relatively recent development in the world of language learning, meanwhile, is the introduction of significant vocabulary and grammatical resources to MP3s. For the time-pressed Spanish language student, this was something of a godsend - allowing you to really learn efficiently on the move with a minimum of fuss. But in addition to CD-Roms and MP3s, there are also plenty of old-fashioned Spanish tapes to help you learn the language while driving in your car, say; so we've highlighted some of the better options available on tape, too.
