Resources for Spanish classes
The WebQuest is an activity for learning Spanish. The Spanish teacher creates a task for students to perform in groups, pairs or alone. The teacher identifies a number of Spanish on-line resources to develop the task. The student, therefore, seek information on the web. The WebQuest is divided into the following parts:
- An introduction on the subject that is to be worked on.
- A task, which presents a problem, question, negotiation, valid and real.
- A description on the process of task execution: activities, collaborative work or individual, necessary support for learning Spanish to the acquired level, distribution of roles if necessary.
- Resource list: Spanish pages on the web, but can also be through another form of media such as a Spanish DVD, Spanish MP3, text…
- Evaluation: to provide the best Spanish, a WebQuest should have a clear set of evaluation criteria. The student should know how to evaluate each step of there activity. Similarly, the student must be involved in the evaluation process.
- Concluding remarks: where to collect what has been learned; grammar and Spanish vocabulary, Spanish phrases for specific purposes…Everything that is useful to the student and can be used outside the classroom.
The author or authors of a WebQuest should add their name, and Spanish textbooks and materials that have been used to create it. Thus it can provide a schedule, a series of warnings and tips for when used. The WebQuest is collected in various libraries which are arranged by subject.
